Another fabulous May Day Event - making happy and specialmemories for staff and students at Trinity Deneview.

This year Group 8 {with some guidance from Eileen and Vicky} organised/ planned this year’s May Day celebrations. The teamwork that Group 8 have been working towards in Citizenship has clearly, paid off exceedingly well.

They began by discussing the various stalls and games that would be on offer. In Art, the students designed some striking posters using pens/pencils. Liam was particularly proud of his. Next up,the group had the ‘plan of action’drawn up following negotiating with Cameron (project leader) where assorted activities would be placed.

Cameron got to grips with the stall organisation and safe deliveryof the drinks/ice cream and Owen was in charge of the cake stall.

Tyler, David, Cameron, Steven and Owen hadmade some delicious cakes the day before in Technology to serve up. I think David ate more than he made but he enjoyed himself and cleared up more than the dishes that was for sure!

The football tournament teams organised by Harvey and Charlie included the football games to be played by three groups. Charlie was particularly enjoying setting the hand held loudspeaker music off to the tune of ' OLE, OLE, OLE OLE' it was heard throughout the afternoon and Charlie looking well happy.

Kieron, kindly brought in a Teddy Bear for the'name the bear' competition and was busy making the charts and posters his computing skills, coming to the fore. He was also looking after the 'knockout cans' table game.

Other games included the Lego box, book reading, hoop, skipping, face painting, chalk drawings, giantdraughts, bat and ball games.

Everyone had lots of fun and the sun shone down on us all. Thankyou to G8, Vicky and Eileen as well as all of the staff who assisted and took part in making the day a very special one. Also a special mention to Shay W and Barry who assisted at the last minute.

Many thanks to all of our students who made the day a fantastic success.

Striving for Excellence and making it happen.
