‘Sunflowers’ – Van Gogh
This term KS3 students have been learning about the Dutch artist, Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890). Students analysed famous artworks from Van Gogh including The Red Vineyards, The Starry Night and Sunflowers.
Students have studied his impasto style in detail and replicated his paintings during lessons. Students have ensured their own paintings have visible, short and thick brush strokes and are coloured using blue and yellow tones.
The stand out artist of this term has been Lee from Group 7, who has produced his own fantastic interpretation of ‘Sunflowers’.
