The Goblin Project begins!
Group 4 have taken the wheel of The Goblin Project this term and are working hard as a team to ensure that this will be Trinity's most successful build yet!
The Goblin Project is afun, creative and practical way for children to explore engineering and mechanics by working together to build a drivable, electric car from scratch. The kit used can be built and then taken apart, allowing a different class group to take part in the project each year. The process starts with the assembling of The Goblin car and ends by crossing the finish line, at a fantastic day long event hosted by Nissan.
The building of The Goblin, is an exciting and hands on experience that allows children to apply many areas of their studies in Maths, English and Science to a real life context, whilst also providing the opportunity to develop key employability skills. The project encourages children to be the decision-makers and Group 4 have so far impressed staff with their ability to communicate effectively and to support and motivate each other to be great team players - always keeping in mind the steps needed to achieve the end goal - to have built a safe, functioning car! Beep, beep!
