Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing

Overview

Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing

The positive mental health and wellbeing of all members of Trinity Academy Newcastle Trust, is fundamental to our philosophy and ethos. Our Academy is committed to developing a whole school positive mental health and wellbeing approach which raises awareness and understanding and reduces stigma amongst students, staff and parent/carers.

Our aim is to support our students to express their feelings honestly, while developing the capacity to overcome the challenges that life presents. We acknowledge the demanding circumstances in which all our staff operate, and are proud of their dedication to support our students’ wellbeing. In kind, we recognise that the positive mental health of staff is key to promoting a meaningful whole school approach. The Academy maintains open and honest communication with parents and carers, in which discussions relating to the mental health and wellbeing of their children are welcomed.
