Year 11 learners were invited into school with their parents and carer’s to celebrate their achievements and to wish them good luck for the next chapter in their lives.
The year 11 learners have worked so hard this term, coping with the stresses and strains of revision and exams. This was the perfect opportunity to reflect on their hard work and give them a well-deserved pat on the back.
It was a very emotional morning, everyone involved shed a tear or two. The learners thanked the staff for all the support and encouragement they have received throughout their time in school. Curtis treats us all to a final sing-song he sang ‘Hold My Girl’ by George Ezra and ‘Someone you loved ‘by Lewis Capaldi.
Visitors were tucking into sweet treats and refreshments while Mr Tully presented learners with their records of achievements and discussed their next steps.
We are all so proud of the effort and determination of our leavers and we wish them all every success for the future!
There were lots of thanks and positive comments from parents and carers:
“I want to thank the staff for all they have done to support Curtis when he was at school, also for fighting for him when he was on the verge of being permanently excluded. Staff have a special bond with him and he wanted to please them all and not let them down. I don’t know how you did it, but he has achieved far more than he expected himself. I have cried all weekend with pride of what he has achieved at school, Curtis made good relationships with staff and now does not want to leave, thank you so much.”
“I will be over the moon with the grades that he will come out with, from hating school at the beginning Callum now doesn’t want to leave’
“I am so glad Keaton completed his exams and staff supported him until the end”
“Joe has been brought on leaps and bounds since starting NBA, to the point of the last day he did not want to leave and chose to stay until the end of the school day”
