For learners who are in the Right Place, at the Right Time and doing the Right Thing, mountain biking as a reward takes place only 10 minutes out of Newcastle. Starting at Newburn, learners from Trinity Academy Newcastle rode a loop towards Wylam, taking in some of the North Easts regenerated, historical networks. The Keelman's way is a low-level ride, passing George Stephenson's Birthplace, crossing the River Tyne (twice) and riding some short technical sections. Learners are able to work on their fitness, whilst having the pleasure of riding mountain bikes in the fresh air.
The ride is recorded on Strava, and linked to Relive which captures the route as a short film. Enjoy!
