PE and School sport are an important part of the curriculum and wider activities offered at Trinity Academy. The range of activities offered to pupils at break time, lunch time and after school help to develop social skills and independence. A fact acknowledged in our recent Ofsted inspection.
In PE this term, we have been focusing on net sports, which include volleyball, badminton and table tennis. I have been very pleased to discover a lot of talent and enthusiasm. Football continues to be a strength for the school, and pupils have the opportunity to play almost every day.
In this past week we have re-introduced the daily mile. This allows pupils to begin their school day with a walk. Daily exercise is proven to have significant benefits on both physical and mental health. I hope to see our walks grow in popularity over the next few weeks!
