Oakfield have been taking part in a series of creative workshops to free their inner creative flare. Groups took part in the ‘Trashion Challenge’ were they had to design and make an outfit using only black bin liners and cello tape. Students enjoyed exploring an alternative material as opposed to traditional materials such as cotton and jersey. This exercise gave students the opportunity to work together as a creative team, build upon tem leadership skills and extend the roles of individuals in the group.
Ryan said: “this lesson was so different to my normal creative arts lesson. I liked that we had to make the outfit out of something different. It was hard working in a team and making sure that everyone was involved but it was so fun.”
