Trinity Academy offer bespoke packages to young people aged 16-25 who have additional support needs.

Learners who have learning difficulties and / or disabilities (LLDD) are provided with a study programme which gives valuable skills in preparation for adulthood. Bespoke programmes are tailor-made to meet the individual needs and aspirations of each learner. An experienced and qualified key worker is assigned to support learners either intensively 1:1 or in a group setting.

Course details

You will work towards GCSE or functional skills qualifications in both maths and English and where appropriate vocational qualifications through your individualised curriculum. The full programme is designed to prepare you for independent living and the world of work. Work experience opportunities are available and we have developed links in retail, animal care, hair and beauty horticulture, warehousing and sports coaching.

Trinity solutions LLDD programme work collaboratively with many organisations across Newcastle. These include Leonard Cheshire Change now and Can do programme to source exciting work experience placements to enhance our learners Personal and social development and employability skills. We also work with New venture and Project Choice closely to offer progression opportunities for our learners. Other links are through some of our work placements where we have learners at local farms and gardening organisations, care homes, charity shops and fitness gyms. All of our learners have a bespoke timetable which is totally suited to their needs and interests. We focus predominately on developing our students Personal and social development skills where we incorporate elements of employability and independent living skills. We can also provide travel training with an optional use of the MyTrav programme which is a new development across Newcastle. Students also have the opportunity to care for our reading dog and Trinity farm animals. This work promotes the principles of PREPARE as it encourages our learners to become empathetic and responsible individuals.

All of our qualifications are nationally recognised.

Entry Requirements:

No formal entry requirements. Following an informal interview, your individual needs will be taken into account to create your bespoke timetable.
