On Friday 17th May, Mr Tickell (Support for Schools Adviser at the Department for Work and Pensions) worked with Teaching Assistant and Business Administration learners.
The day explored what employers look for and what makes a good employee. Learners had the opportunity to explore their own personal career aspirations through a variety of practical written, group and individual activities.
To conclude, learners researched current apprenticeship and job vacancies and produced a C.V. Learners found this employability session very beneficial saying: "It’s good. It’s helped me to look at what is available right now. I’ve never admitted my dream career before but he listened and now I know what qualifications and experience I need to have."
