Jack Richardson kindly visited Trinity to talk to the Construction learners about being self-employed in the Construction industry. His company, J Richardson Pointing and Brickwork Services is going from strength to strength.
Jack was previously an apprentice of Karl Elliott, the Learning Delivery Manager, and studied Brickwork at Carillion in 2008. He gained both a level 2 and 3 in Brickwork and proceeded to work on site undertaking house construction. When work slowed, Jack decided to branch out on his own and start his own company. By starting slow and building both his resources and reputation over time, Jack has grown his business into a success where he is his own boss and in full control of his life.
Jack explained to the group that they could follow the path he did and the ways in which he could do it.
When asked, “What is the most important part of having your own business?” Jack replied, “ I make sure the customer is happy, I never take a penny off them until they are satisfied. This is not only the right thing to do but gets you a good reputation. Word of mouth is the best advertising ever!”
All of Trinity Solutions Academy, especially the Construction team and students, would like to thank Jack for giving up his time and sharing his experience with us. Jack Richardson is a local tradesperson who has a proven track record of both quality and customer satisfaction.
