Motor Vehicle students were given the opportunity to explore Caterpillar UK at a recent visit to their site in Peterlee. Meeting with Martin Hudson, Randstad In-House Services, students were able to identify entry routes into employment, salary expectations as well as the recruitment process. The interactive tour allowed students to see first hand the manufacturing process as well as ask questions of industry experts. As a result of the visit, students confirmed they had a better understanding of the workplace, we're motivated to work harder at college as they had a clearer understanding of what they wanted to do with their future career/education. The visit to Caterpillar is only one aspect of the careers programme at Trinity Solutions Academy which aims to raise aspirations and better prepare our young people for the world of work.
