Our LDD learners have received some Information, Advice and Guidance sessions this half-term. We had a visitor from our local Job Centre – Richard Tickell – who gave our learners an insight into the current labour market.
Students asked lots of questions throughout the session which related to their career aims, and explored jobs they are interested in. They were then given the opportunity to display their teamwork skills by forming different shapes in their small groups with a set time limit. Students discussed the importance of working in a team and identified which other skills they used in the task and why these skills are important to employers.
These sessions are planned for our LDD learners over the next few weeks, which will also enhance their employability skills and career awareness.
