The Minibus Driver Awareness Training with Accessibility Course is a full day training course that takes delegates through the practical and theoretical assessment of both driving and using accessibility equipment. (If delegates are already MiDAS trained minibus drivers then they will only need to complete the half day Accessibility course)
In order for delegates to be awarded the certificate they must successfully achieve the following elements:
All delegates must achieve the Minibus Driver Awareness Training in addition
All delegates will undertake a half day theory session
At the end of this session all delegates will take part in a theory based multiple-choice exam. In order to be successful a pass rate of 80% must be achieved.
Delegates must be able to demonstrate competency through the completion of a practical activity. If at the end of this period additional training is required then this can be arranged, but may incur additional cost.
The entry requirements for this course: candidates must hold a full UK driving license (any delegate who has penalty points on their license must disclose this prior to the course date to enable a discussion as to suitable to take place). Delegates must be 21 or over and hold a UK driving license for 2 years+.
